Hi everyone. As you know, or have surmised, MFS is a low-frequency publication and I try to respect that by only posting fiction and the occasional update. Since I’ve been offline for a while I just want to update you on why.
I’ve had several crises going on in my personal and professional life (lives?) that have taken priority over finishing the next chapter in Terry’s story. It’s about half-finished right now and I plan to get back to it soon. Anything to do with the following story is also on hold.
Out of respect for everyone’s privacy, I can say this: I have this friend, and today I realized that I love this friend more dearly than I imagined. He’s been waiting for summer through the long, miserable, dark, wet winter we had this past year, and the brief false spring, and the return of cold and wet and damp. He’s been waiting for warm summer days and bright sun. Today was our first really wonderful day of summer, as sweet as could be, with clear blue skies from early morning until almost eight in the evening.
And my friend could not see the sunlight.
