Seems like the end of the year contains so many mysteries of so many kinds. There are simple mysteries such as “What gifts will I get?” to big mysteries that involve faith-based questions to personal mysteries about loved ones we’ve lost. Something about the year’s end gives these mysteries a sense of immediacy.
There’s so much going on in the world and I hope that my stories have entertained you and maybe even distracted you from the pressures of your life. And I hope they continue to do so. Working on this project and the stories, getting them out for publication, has been a source of joy for me. I’m honored that you’ve chosen to take time from your busy lives to take a chance on this Substack.
I’m looking forward to getting back to Terry’s story after Christmas and then the rest of that novelette, and on to the next.
